About A42
A42 is a new pan-African brand founded by the Institute for Repair, that aims to redefine African heritage for a new generation.
We work with young artists, designers, makers, storytellers, filmmakers, technologists and more, to transform small museums, heritage sites, cultural villages and artist-run-centres into regenerative creative destinations.
Our micro-heritage resarts consist of immersive heritage experiences, themed accommodation, African wellness centres, concept food and beverage, experiential retail, maker studios, workshops, programs, events and more.
Our commercial activities help to support our work in heritage documentation, conservation, programs and exhibitions.
Creative Repair
Institute for Creative Repair, is the not-for-profit company that owns the A42 brand, enters into agreements with museums and heritage sites, and activates each site with innovative programs and projects developed with local creatives.
Creative Repair Studio develops and operates the micro-heritage resarts for our community of Millennial and Gen Z creatives, cultural enthusiasts, knowledge seekers, and domestic, regional and diasporic travelers.
