• Minimum stay: 2 nights

Pricing Guidelines:

Exhibition Admission + Guided walkthrough: R100 per person

Performance: R100 per person

Workshops:

• full day: R250 per person, max 20 people

• half-day R175 per person

Talks and Conversations: R50 per person for 2 hours, max 30 people

Wellness and Fitness: R150 per 1 hour session/class

Gatherings: R50 per person

A42 House is a perfect venue to host a talk, workshop, launch, strategy session, meetings and more.

Capacity: 20-50 people depending on set-up

• Short event (2–3 hrs): R2,000

• Half day (4–5 hrs): R3,500

• Full day (up to 8 hrs): R7,000

• Event cleaning: +R700

• Refundable damage deposit: R2,000

• Catering available on request

Event + Overnight Accommodation

• Workshop + 1 overnight room: R10,000

• Retreat (full day + whole house overnight): R18,000

Accommodation:

• Residential use only
  Accommodation bookings are for residential stays. Events, filming, or commercial use are not included.

• Registered guests only
  Only guests listed on the booking may access the property. No unregistered visitors unless by prior arrangement.

• Quiet hours
  Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.

• No parties
  Parties, celebrations, DJs, or loud gatherings are not permitted.

• Children & supervision
  Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times. The property is not childproofed.

• Swimming pool
  The pool is not fenced or covered. Use is at guests’ own risk; children and non-swimmers must be supervised.

• Respect the space
  A42 House is a design-led cultural home with artworks and books. Please treat the space with care.

• Pre-Booking
  Creative and cultural activities must be booked in advance. Please review membership terms and conditions.

• Separate pricing
  All activities are priced separately from accommodation and venue hire.

• Inclusive and Respectful
  Activities align with the values of A42 House, are inclusive, and respectful of participants, the ecology and the neighbours.

• A42 House is a day-time venue in a residential area. Programs and events run from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.

• Children must be supervised at all times. Pool is uncovered and use is at your own risk.

• Rates do not include catering

Hosting/Venue

• Priority is given to Gold and Silver members

• Separate booking required
  Venue use is not included in accommodation bookings and requires a separate enquiry, approval, and contract.

• Approved events only

• Capacity limits
  Attendance may not exceed the agreed maximum capacity.

• Sound & neighbours
  No amplified sound outdoors after 8:30 pm. Respect for neighbours is non-negotiable.

• Set-up & use
  Furniture, walls, and fixtures may not be altered. No adhesives, nails, or drilling.

• Damage & cleaning
  Event-related damage or excessive cleaning will be charged and deducted from the damage deposit.
